Ramadan: Gov Abdulrazaq Congratulates Muslims, Urges Them To Pray For Sustainable Development
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state has congratulated Muslims in the state on the start of Ramadan.
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye on Thursday, the governor urged Muslims in Kwara state to pray for peace, improved security, and sustainable development in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
‘I congratulate the Muslim community worldwide, especially in Kwara state, on the dawn of the month of mercy — Ramadan 1444 A.H. I congratulate the leader of the faithful in Kwara state, Emir of Ilorin ,Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on this spiritual development.
Through almsgiving and firm commitment to a better world in our own corners, I charge the faithful to live by the spirit of this holy month in which sins are forgiven, destinies are reshaped for good, and servants of God are given a brand new opportunity to get closer to the Creator.
I urge the faithful to beseech Allah for peace, improved security, and sustainable development in our country, Nigeria, and Kwara state in particular, as we begin a new chapter in our democratic journey.
I wish all of us God’s abiding mercies in this holy month and always.
