Rivers APC Reps Primary Elections: Gov Fubara’s Loyalists Disqualified As Speaker Amaewhule, 20 Others Get The Green Light

Awaji InombekAbiante and Boma Goodhead, who are current members of the House of Representatives, will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming APC primary elections in Rivers State as they have been declared disqualified.

Rep Awaji InombekAbiante and Rep Boma Goodhead, retired Air Commodore John Opera and Hon. Anderson Igbiki, who are loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, will not participate in the reps primary elections.

Interestingly, Abiante was the one who obtained APC gubernatorial Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that 21 aspirants including Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Martin Amaewhule however got the go-ahead to participate in the reps primary elections.

Speaker Amaewhule, who is seeking party nomination for Obio/Apor reps election, is planning to replace Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Chinda.

‘You are by this notice informed of the release of the final list of aspirants for the House of Representatives primary election of our great party-the APC scheduled to hold on 16th May, 2026 as released by the National Leadership of the party.

Aspirants are kindly, advised note and comply accordingly.

This information must be taken seriously in view of the election as scheduled.
