Senator Gbenga Daniel Showing Ingratitude After Making It Easy For Him To Become APC Member, Earn Party Nomination-Gov Abiodun

Barely one week after Senator Gbenga Daniel accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of repaying good deeds with bad deeds, the governor has responded and asserted that it is rather the senator who has shown ingratitude.

Recall that Senator Gbenga Daniel had claimed that he played a key role in the emergence of Governor Dapo Abiodun adding that without the support of his political group, he may not have achieved his political aspirations.

‘Without people like us and the grace of God, he probably wouldn’t have been governor’ Senator Gbenga Daniel submitted during an interview with journalists in Sagamu, Ogun State.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Governor Dapo Abiodun while giving his speech during a ‘stakeholder meeting’ , however said he not only made it easy for Otunba Daniel to join the APC but also ensured his nomination by the party for the 2023 Ogun East senate election.

‘I was here when Chief Amosun became governor. I was here when Otunba Daniel was governor.

I actually competed for party nomination with Governor Daniel but as soon as he won the party nomination, I was one of the first people to congratulate him and I made all my structure work for him and I supported him.

You know and we know what we’ve done for each other over the years. I know what my relationship with Governor Daniel was when I assumed office and how I held his hand to ensure that he was integrated back into the party.

 You know, and these are facts, these are facts. I know what I did for Governor Daniel to become a senator. I’ve never said this publicly and I’m saying it now, I know what I did for him to become a senator. You know Senator Adesegun is here., Senator Mustapha is here, they are here, they were the frontrunners in that primary election. I know what my intervention was to get them to step down for him to emerge as senator, we entrusted it to him.

If Governor Daniel now believes that the only way to repay me is to sponsor negative media attacks against me, I leave him to his conscience’ he said.
