Teacher Dies In Captivity As 137 Abducted Schoolchildren Regain Freedom In Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has clarified that the abduction incident that was recorded at Government Secondary and Primary Schools in Kuriga , Chikun Local Government, on March 7, 2024, actually had 137 schoolchildren as abductees and not 287 as claimed in media reports.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the governor, who made this clarification while appearing on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme, also disclosed that the military, in collaboration with local authorities in Zamfara state, had successfully rescued all the kidnapped children from the bandits.
‘Those numbers were just figments of people’s imaginations. They just went to the media and reported those figures
At that time as a leader, I shouldn’t bother myself about figures and numbers.
I met with the families of the children, and they confirmed to me that the numbers given by the military are the correct number.
Today, I am happy. The families are happy, and the state government is happy’ he said.
Sani also added that only a teacher, who was abducted along with the students, died in captivity.
‘It’s only one person that has not returned, and that is the teacher. That is the fact of the matter, but all of the 137 children are safely back.
We had the unfortunate incident that the teacher couldn’t make it because he had some complications; he was sick — that was the report we got from the military and the security agencies but the rest of the children, all of them are back with us’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
