Votes Cast, Not Social Media Will Determine Winner Of Upcoming 2027 Kaduna Guber Election-LG Affairs Commissioner

Electors in Kaduna State will determine who wins the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial election in the state by casting their ballots not online trends or social media hype, the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Sadiq Mamman-Lagos, has submitted.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mamman-Lagos, who said this while talking to journalists in Kaduna, expressed confidence that Governor Uba Sani will win re-election and improve on the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the state.

He cautioned politicians against using online trends, arguments and large crowds at rallies as indications of actual electoral strength.

‘You don’t do politics on social media, and you don’t do election on social media.

So, the rating on social media is not the rating that you people should consider, having the crowds during political rallies or campaign, is not a result of election’ he said.

Mr Mamman-Lagos added that women especially those in rural communities, remain among the most important groups that determine outcomes of elections.

‘The people that control political election in Nigeria are women. People don’t realize that.

When election comes, go and see the turnout of women. They will join a queue, spend hours and hours, especially women in the rural areas, at the local government level.

Kaduna has changed in terms of unity. That is one important thing. And once you have unity, you have peace’ he said.

The commissioner also said Southern Kaduna will support the APC citing government projects and political appointments as evidence of increased inclusion.
