What Follows Gov Abdulrazaq’s Decision To Sack Special Advisers, SSAs, Others?

What Follows Gov Abdulrazaq’s Decision To Sack Special Advisers, SSAs, Others?

On June 29, 2026, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State sacked his Principal Private Secretary (PPS), Deputy Chief of Staff and all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.

A statement issued to announce the decision to boot out the former governor’s aides noted that this was done to ‘extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into Abdulrazaq administration’.

Gist mongers told Team@orientactualmags.com that the decision taken by the governor has actually helped greatly in stabilizing polity given that the overcrowded APC primaries and its attendant challenges; the unmet needs, competing interests and political maneuvering had left the Abdulrazaq’s cabinet somewhat deeply divided.

Almost all of them were members of the ‘unofficial’ campaign groups of reps, senate and governorship aspirants and some of them were not satisfied with the outcome of the primaries.

With the reconciliation efforts underway, the governor’s former aides who may have taken turns to visit radio stations and make statements that can heighten tension and frustrate the steps being taken to heal broken relationships, cannot do so because they are no longer in office.

Birds also whispered that those who are tasked with making petroleum products available for fleet maintenance and fuel at the government house, Ilorin, have threatened to stop making petrol available until the payment of an outstanding balance.

They are reportedly being owed N38 million.

The gist here is that apart from the fact that the money that the government would have used in paying their salary for the month of July and possibly August will be used for something else, the fuel expenses would also have been higher than N38 million if the Special Advisers, SSAs and others had not been sacked-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
