Yobe APC Guber Primary: Senior Lawyer Disqualified Coz Non-Financial Members Signed His Expression Of Interest, Nomination Forms
A senior lawyer, Kashim Musa Tumsah has been disallowed from participating in the Yobe State APC gubernatorial primary scheduled to hold next week Monday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Tumsah, a lawyer and diplomat, was disqualified because non-financial members of the party signed his expression of interest and nomination forms.
‘I received with extreme sadness the news that I have not been cleared by the APC screening committee due to my nomination mostly by non-financial members of our great party.
After due consultation with my family, supporters and APC national and state stakeholders, I have decided to accept the decision of the party in good faith as the will of Allah, with the strong belief that Allah’s timing is always right’ he said
Mr Tumsah, also thanked his supporters and followers for what he described as an ‘exciting journey’ through which he had shown that he is committed to promoting justice, due process and democratic principles in the state.
‘Throughout this campaign, we have demonstrated to the citizenry that a new kind of people-centric politics is possible’ he said.
Tumsah urged party members to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and also ensure the success of whoever emerges as APC governorship candidate in the state.
