YPM Grand Patron Urges Support For President Tinubu’s Re-election Bid, Says ‘Emi Lokan’ Quote Still Relevant

The Grand Patron of Yoruba Patriots Movement (YPM), Chief Pius Akinyelure has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid while noting that the president’s famous ‘emi lokan’ quote is still relevant.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had ahead of the 2023 APC presidential primary election spoke with authority during the meeting held with party members in Abeokuta, Ogun State and said ‘Emi Lokan’.

Recall also that Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu had declared  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who was the APC presidential candidate, winner of the 2023 Presidential Election held on February 25 , 2023 .

Tinubu had 8,794,726 votes, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who was the PDP presidential candidate, got 6,984,520 votes,  Peter Obi  had 6,101,533 votes while the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso  got 1,496,687 votes.

He was sworn in as president on Monday. May 29 , 2023.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that while giving his speech during the launch of a new compendium at the University of Ibadan International Conference Centre, where iconic Nigerians contributed their insights as a roadmap to galvanize support for President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, Chief Pius Akinyelure suggested what should be the new catchphrase.

The new catchphrase, he noted, should be ‘Ise Oluwa ni, Kole baje’ (It is the divine work of God and it’s indestructible).

Professor Raphael Afolabi Akinfeleye, who represented the YPM Grand Patron, urged the group to implement the recommendations of the Advocacy Summits on Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the compendium.

He also asked them to rise to the occasion and tackle those who are trying to frustrate President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun, who was the Father of the Day, also asked members of the group and attendees of the event to step up advocacy in respect of enlightening members of the Afenifere and patriotic sons and daughters of Yoruba land on the benefits of aligning formidable forces with President Tinubu’s renewed Hope agenda  which according to him ,has gradually rekindled positivism for the country especially the southwest.

Chief Oyedokun urged those he described as enemies within to stop bearing needless grudges against the president and rather reawaken their conscience  towards the realization that President Tinubu’s renewed Hope agenda is divinely guided.

He further urged them to support the president’s re-election bid noting that his noble mission was the magnet that drew him from PDP to APC .

The elder statesman also advised clerics to stop the craze behind making negative predictions and fake prophecies which has according to him done incalculable damage to the psyches of many Nigerians ,most of who are being misled in the choice of exercising their civic responsibilities.

Reviewing the compendium which was authored by the National Coordinator of YPM, Barrister Oladosu Oladipo, Professor Gbenga Onabamiro described the document as a living compass that will consolidate the renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu into a complete rebirth of Nigeria if faithful implemented.

‘This book that has been launched as a blue print prosperity in the Southwest would equally unlock prosperity for the country generally’ the Ajiroba of Ibadan, Professor Soji Adejumo, also submitted.

In his opening speech, Barrister Oladosu Oladipo noted that the group is committed to deepening analysis of the Tinubu administration’s policies adding that the compendium is a roadmap to a sustainable Nigeria based on seven pillars that include peace, productivity, profitability, prosperity patriotism and the indoctrination of youths and women-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
