NURTW: Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Of Seeking To Secure ‘Explosive’ Court Order, Urges Police To Stop Incitement To Violence

NURTW: Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Of Seeking To Secure ‘Explosive’ Court Order, Urges Police To Stop Incitement To Violence

Ahead of the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election, the state APC alleged on Wednesday that Governor Ademola Adeleke is planning to throw the State of the Living Spring into a large scale crisis by enlisting the services of a pliable high court judge in the state to secure a court order for the arrest of the state chairman and all local government chairmen of the newly-sworn in executives of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state.

‘It was reliably gathered that Governor Adeleke is laying the foundation for the arrest of the NURTW state chairman and the chairmen of transport executives at the local government level in the state while reasserting himself as Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the state at a rally in Osogbo on Monday.

It was gathered that the governor was only acting a script prepared for him by his think tanks when he descended on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, at the political rally in question.

The leaked information has revealed a surreptitious plan by Governor Adeleke and the Accord Party to procure a warrant of arrest against some newly inaugurated executives of Osun State chapter of NURTW.

It was gathered that the arrangement is premised on a purported charge filed by the Governor Ademola administration for some offences generally believed to be politically motivated.

It was found out that rather than serving the affected persons personally, the government sought an order to publish it so as to perfect arrangement to procure an order to remand the innocent union executives’ the party’s spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday.

APC also said the application for the ‘potentially explosive’ court order  had gotten two dates within a space of a week and it is slated again, for Thursday, August 6, 2026, while adding that the governor is planning  to launch a subtle blackmail against the Nigeria Police Force, President Tinubu and Alhaji Oyetola.

‘It was also gathered that the clandestine arrangement is being made in collaboration with one pliable High Court judge in Osogbo so that the members of the executive of the NURTW in the state will be intimidated and remanded in prisons ahead of the August, 15, 2026 governorship election.

Information further revealed that the arrangement for hitting the newly-sworn in members of the Osun State chapter of the NURTW below the belt was arrived at during the meeting held somewhere in Osogbo yesterday(Tuesday) 4th August 2026 with the compromised High Court Judge, and certain Accord Party chieftains and members in attendance.

Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing to establish the identity of the particular judge of the High Court that was said to have been involved in this planned judicial coup against the NURTW executives in the state.

We, as a party, are enjoining the Osun State Judiciary to be wary of the desperate and rejected political gladiators who are hell bent in riding roughshod on the noble and respectable calling for using the judicial officer as an instrument to victimise the real and perceived political opponents of the Governor Adeleke admnistration.

It won’t be dignifying for the judiciary to allow its name to be dragged through the mud because of politics.

The court vacation is ongoing and one is worried why the rush if at all any charge is genuinely necessary.

With this development, it is now crystal clear that it is the state Governor Adeleke, the supposed and self-acclaimed state CSO of the state and the Accord Party that are planning to disturb the public peace in the state a few days to the governorship election.

The Inspector-General of Police and the national leaderships of other statutory security services are put on notice of the need for them to double up their efforts in ensuring that the state is not avoidably turned into a theatre of war before, during and after the forthcoming governorship election.

Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing to establish the identity of the particular judge of the High Court that could have been involved in this dastardly arrangement.

The Osun State Judiciary is therefore advised to be wary of these desperate politicians so that its name would not be dragged through the mud’ the statement added.

. The statement also urged the nation’s security agencies to ‘take cognizance of the inflammatory and inciting outbursts of Governor Adeleke at the Osogbo political rally on Monday where he made an allusion to the nation’s political disturbance of 1983’-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
